The EC135 is one of the most modern light helicopters. The interior offers space for a complete rescue equipment. The shrouded tail rotor (Fenestron) reduces the noise level and the risk of accidents. Emergency rescue in case of accidents is considerably improved by the use of helicopters manned by emergency doctors. For this reason, the Dutch ANWB Medical Air Assistance uses the EC135 several times as a rescue helicopter.
